Road Trip: First Stop

Greetings from Palmer Lake, Colorado!

I suppose in many ways these updates are coming a bit late but we thought we'd share with you some images and stories from our road trip to training in Palmer Lake (just outside Colorado Springs). We left our Seattle Home (the Foster's house) on Sept. 4th at 5:15am and headed straight south to Roseburg, Oregon to visit my Grandfather and his wife Mardi and my Great Aunt and Uncle and one of my second cousins. It took just about exactly 6 hours and we arrived in time to enjoy a great lunch at the Country Club with Grandpa and Mardi. Then, after touring around Roseburg for a bit we headed back to their house where Mardi fixed a delicious meal with Aunt Marcia, Uncle Gerald and Matt joining us. It was a GREAT evening of just being together, sharing stories, reminiscing, laughing and praying together. The next morning we had a great breakfast with Grandpa and Mardi before hitting the road again around 10am to head to Martinez, California to visit my Aunt Stacy, Uncle Martin and Cousin Jenna....
